This article studies from different angles the ideological and human relationship between Kazantzakis and the philosopher Nietzsche. The Greek writer was attracted to and identified himself with Nietzsche's figure. In the terrain of ideas, Nietzsche left a visionary impression of protests and exaltations in favor of a festive life, far from a Christian religious shadow according to the moment and society where he lived. Kazantzakis continues that call to freedom and that longing of drunkenness within one's own life and not in an other world.
