What is the objective of the philosophical practice that Pletón began to mobilize in Mistrás? From the second half of the fourteenth century, the fragile unity of the Byzantine Empire finally began to crack. This situation imposed the problem: How to counteract the process of disintegration? What kind of measures should be taken? How to recompose the unity of the empire? Faced with such questions, the Byzantine philosopher outlined his goal.
