In the long history of Greek reality, religiosity underwent substantial changes in their approaches and beliefs, a fact that also involved the need for linguistic adaptations in order to express new concepts and requirements of worship. Monolectic names or periphrasis influenced by Greek philosophical tradition as a result of its use throughout the history of the Greek letters appear until today without losing their religious concept. Among the names monolectic the term ἱερόν, whose presence begins in the VIII BC century and continues to the present.
