Abstract

In Chile, the percentage of those who call themselves “without religión” is growing. Hence, this identification has gone from being a residual container (the unclassifiable in preconceived answers), to being a fundamental category to understand what is lived in this field. Through interviews and validation workshops with the interviewees themselves, it is concluded that being “without religion” contains in youth a diversity of changes that reveal the search for freedom, detachment from institutions and the conception of a spirituality as something greater than religion.
